About Fairhaven Bicycles

Service Position

 

Start Date:  No Openings at this time

 

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities are to communicate with customers regarding work order tickets via phone, text and in person; review work order estimates; perform service on work order tickets; build new bikes; perform safety checks on new bike builds and sold bikes; process warranties; mentor newer mechanics.

 

Qualifications

Demonstrable ability to perform the following: routine suspension service, wheel building, various front and rear derailleur model adjustments, brake bleeds for road and mountain, bearing extraction and installation.

5+ years of experience as a professional bicycle mechanic.

Specialized/Brose and Shimano EP8 e-bike experience a plus.

Positive and courteous attitude; patient and team oriented.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Available 4-5 days a week including one weekend day.

Mid level Service/Sales Position

Job Summary

This position is responsible for communicating with customers in person, by phone and by email.  Listening to customers and asking questions that help guide them through the bicycle shopping experience. Communicate with customers regarding service inquiries in person, via phone and by email; build new bikes; perform safety checks on sold bikes; process warranties. 

 

 

Qualifications

2+ years of sales and service experience at a Bicycle Retail Store.

Demonstrable ability to perform the following: Various front and rear derailleur model adjustments, brake bleeds for road and mountain, hanger alignment, wheel truing.

Specialized/Brose and Shimano EP8 e-bike experience a plus.

Positive and courteous attitude; patient and team oriented.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Part time position including one weekend day with the possibility to shift to full time during summer.

This position is responsible for communicating with customers in person, by phone and by email.  Listening to customers and asking questions that help guide them through the bicycle shopping experience.   This is a year round position with the opportunity to grow into a management role with the right qualifications.

 

Qualifications

Five years of sales experience at a Bicycle Retail Store.  

Must be knowledgable about Specialized and Santa Cruz E-Bikes.

Must be positive and open to casual conversation with customers.

Must have good phone etiquette and able to take messages.

Available to work year round.

Available to work on the weekends.
